THE TEAM
Daniel Ingram is the Database Manager for the OFFTAKE project. Dan is particularly interested in natural resource management, ethnobiology, and conservation. Dan's research focuses on investigating the offtake of wildlife (e.g. the hunting of wildlife for food, trophies, traditional medicinal and practices), and developing methods to track offtake over time. His work on modelling the impacts of environmental changes to biological systems and people aims to inform conservation policy and action. Dan has also conducted field studies in Africa, North and South America, Asia, and Europe.
Please contact Dan for information on the African, Latin American, and Asian chapters of the database.
Jörn Scharlemann is a Reader in Ecology and Conservation at the University of Sussex. His research aims to quantitatively assess the impacts of environmental changes on biodiversity and ecosystems to identify policy-relevant strategies for sustainable life on Earth. Jörn has over 15 years of experience working in scientific research in NGOs and academia as well as at the science-policy interface. His work includes spatial analyses, land use planning, remote sensing, and modelling, largely focussing on the terrestrial realm.
